My Probate Experience
I have lived in Seattle my entire life. I love it here, and I love real estate. When I was just 24 years old, I purchased my first house.
Soon after that I obtained my real estate license. I was quite young. I studied hard over the following several years, and learned from the best agents in the field.
I decided to focus on the Seattle market, but would still find myself helping clients in other areas, such as Bellevue, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Burien, Normandy Park, and many others. I found that I liked being able to help my clients through often challenging times.
My Probate Experience
Every so often I would help someone who was an executor for an estate. It was always an emotional time for them, and there were often other issues, such as some internal family dynamics that needed to be taken into account. With my empathetic and professional nature, I was naturally good navigating these issues.
So I continued to learn, study, and read more about the probate process, and the selling of probate homes. I spoke with attorneys and others involved in the probate process. There are special circumstances in just about every case. And being the executor of the estate when my parents each passed away, I learned still more.
The sales process can be wide ranging. Some probate homes need to be sold without any modifications or improvements at all - not even staging. With others though, the heirs have all decided to make some improvements to the home before putting it on the market. So I meet with the executor to offer my thoughts on what would create the best return on investment for the estate.
